About

Hello and welcome! Bonita Pratt began her work in the pro-life movement in 2011, when she began volunteering, and later working, at a pregnancy resource center. During her time at Saint Mary’s College, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Communications, Pratt also ran the campus pro-life club: fundraising, organizing events and advocating for pregnant students. Pratt spent two years as a pregnancy counselor, helping women feel supported and able to choose life for their babies. Her work has taken on many forms, from spending hours sorting through diaper bins, to being a guest speaker on EWTN’s national coverage of the March for Life 2022 and Walk for Life 2023. In 2021, she founded her company, Pro-life Apologetics, through which she teaches a year long class for high schoolers, delving deep into the history, current social criticism, logic, philosophy and theology of the pro-life v. pro-choice debate. Pratt teaches her students not only how to confidently respond to the hardest pro-choice talking points based on science and logic, but also how to do so with charity and kindness. Students learn how to speak in a way that touches the other person’s heart, instead of merely rattling off zingers. Additionally, Pratt travels and gives talks to hundreds of young adults, equipping them with the best tactics for defending the pro-life movement. In 2024, Pratt enlarged her talk topics to cover the wrongs of abortion through the lens of Catholic social teaching and living authentic Catholic femininity. Her passion for helping women become empowered in motherhood goes hand in hand with her passion for helping Catholic women embrace their unique femininity in lives filled with love and self gift. Incorporating Faith, but with a particular emphasis on science, her book, Pro-life, Pro-woman, Pro-science: An Integrative Guidebook, is set to be published in 2025 and available imminently for purchase.

Beyond her career work, Pratt is primarily a stay-at-home mom to her daughter, giving her key insights as to what challenges and graces mothers are faced with on a daily basis. She and her husband are also currently in the process of adopting a baby. Going through the vetting, interviews, and waiting process has given Pratt detailed first hand exposure in this area of the pro-life field that is frequently brushed past. Pratt’s academic excellence, collegiate leadership, crisis pregnancy counseling, teaching, speaking, mothering and adopting, all give her a unique vantage point from which to approach the topic. Pratt currently lives in Indiana with her childhood best friend and now husband, Tony, and their daughter, Zelie.
